It is not a question of not taking the Shiny Pony seriously in his ability to win election. Pierre Eliot Trudeau and his fetid ambitions for a 'Just Society' duplicitously transformed Canada from a highly successful, respected and cohesive nation during its Confederation celebrations in 1967 into a multicultural morass starting with his landslide win in 1968, which is almost unrecognizable as the fine country it was up to and including 1967. Since his victory in 2008 the former community organizer, the sainted Obama, has systematically unraveled the U.S. economy and has thoroughly undermined U.S. respect and credibility on the international stage thus threatening U.S. and by extension the world's security. Now the 'teeny-bopper' mentality wants to see the intellectual light-weight Justin Trudeau elected leader of the Liberal party and eventually Prime Minister of Canada. Muslim leaders denying that a ban on criticizing Islam is a ban on Free Speech are LIARS.

The Islamic leaders denying that a ban on criticizing and/or ridiculing their prophet and/or Islam is not an attack on free speech are LIARS. Lying is of course the Islamic way. They have a long tradition of lying in Islam, indeed it is even institutionalized in their faith as 'Taquiyya". According to the shady Islamic values of 'Taquiyya' any lie told in the defense of Islam is morally acceptable. Sniffling Cheese Sniffing dog Nabs Cheese Nappers

Pretty cheesy I would say to have Canadian police constables profiting from the smuggling of illicit cheeses. Apparently it was the stinkiest cheeses, the Taleggio, the Epoisses, the Pont l'Evêque, the Limburger and the Stinking Bishop, soft cheeses all, which gave the game away. Despite what you might read elsewhere, the smugglers counted on the fact that the Canadian cheese smelling dog at the border had a notorious head cold which should have made him incapable of honing onto the cheeses. However this particular shipment of cheeses was so maliciously malodorous, so obnoxiously odoriferous and so painfully pungent that even the decidedly inclement cheese smelling dog could not be fooled. Farzana Hassan: The Borgian Group think of Muslims

This is an excellent article by FARZANA HASSAN who acknowledges that it is the Borgian-like Muslim group think and a long tradition of letting their mullahs and imams do their thinking for them that make it inconceivable for most Muslims to accept that many Westerners are self-motivated and can create independent of their governments. The U.S. is so hated by the totalitarian regimes and ideologues of the world because they understand better than many Canadians that should the U.S. fail the rest of the free world, and particularly Canada, will be almost defenceless and ripe for the picking. The Petulant Childishness of Islam

In the West we defend 'Freedom of Speech' as the greatest of human rights because if an individual has freedom of speech then all other freedoms are possible. If a man has the freedom to speak his mind then he also has freedom of thought. If he has freedom of thought he has freedom of action, freedom of movement, freedom of assembly, freedom to invent, to create, to love, to grow, to become a whole man. Equally, if you deny an individual the right to condemn and ridicule a religion such as Islam then you not only limit the man’s freedom and the freedom of the society he lives in but you also are implying that Islam cannot withstand criticism. Since the Reformation, Christianity has withstood centuries of criticism and ridicule and still remains the largest, most influential religion in the world. Opening itself up to criticism and even ridicule has made Christianity much stronger realizing that it can withstand anything because it is true. When you deny people the right to criticise, condemn or ridicule Islam because Muslims will be offended consider what you are implying. You are implying that Islam is weak and false and therefore cannot bear investigation, ridicule and even neglect. I say to you that if Islam is true it will withstand all criticism, ridicule and neglect and become stronger. If on the other hand if Islam is weak and false it will disappear after being exposed through criticism, ridicule and/or neglect. If it disappears then it does so because it is false and should never have existed in the first place. Furthermore, in a free society you learn that there are other responses other than violence to insults, ridicule, criticism etc. What distinguishes a civilized culture from a barbaric culture is that the civilized man has learned to respond in other ways other than violence. Did it ever occur to Muslims that if someone insults their prophet or their religion that instead of assaulting or even killing that individual they can simply insult and/or ridicule him back? Or they can ignore him. Or they can debate him. One thing is for sure they will give no credit to their religion by getting violent every time someone insults or criticises it. Did it ever occur to them that it is time that the Muslim world ‘grow up’ and stop acting like spoiled, petulant, children every time they are offended? Tarek Fatah cannot understand why the West could better resist Communism and Fascism than Islamism

Tarek Fatah posits the rhetorical question: Why was the West better able to resist Communism and Fascism than they are Islamism? He goes on to say that only the Ultra Right are committed to resisting Islamism but they are manipulated into going about it the wrong way and therefore playing into the hands of the Islamists. I would respond to Tarek's comments as follows Today's Islamists have some distinct advantages that other totalitarian ideoloques didnt have. Communist, Nazis, and Fascist ideology were clearly delineated as the purely political entities that they are without much ambiguity whereas Islam/Islamism has been able to creep under the radar for the following reasons. 1. The Islamists have conned many in the West into thinking that Islam is a Religion of Peace, although 1400 years of aggression and two caliphates (Muslim empires) and a third in the making tell a much different story. 2. The Islamists have conned many in the West into accepting that Islam is first and foremost a religion, whereas the facts on the ground tell a different story. Islam, is and has always been first and foremost a totalitarian ideology and a rationalization for invasion and dominance; whereas, spirituality, as Jewish people, Christians, Hindus and Buddhists etc. understand spirituality, is almost incidental to Islam, a mere afterthought. 3. As the West has been conned into accepting Islam as a major religion, they feel obligated according to their own rules of law and codes of human rights, to bend over backwards to appease what is in essence a totalitarian system which is designed to undermine and subsequently dominate all other systems of thought which will invariably include western secular democracies; and, replace them with that pseudo-theological based system of law and government called the Sharia, with the ultimate goal being a third and global caliphate. 4. As the West is currently still beholden to Arab dictatorships for energy they have been lax about controlling the proliferation of Saudi funding throughout North and South America and Western Europe for the building of Wahhabi mosques and university endowments which is spreading Wahhabi/Muslim Brotherhood extremist ideology throughout the Western society at all levels. The current Iranian regime have also invested significantly in the spread of an extreme Shiite version of Islam in the West as well. 5. Finally , as the Wahabbis, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Irainian Shiites are much better heeled financially than the Soviets ever were they can afford to buy off U.S., Canadian and European politicians who otherwise might resist their infiltration of Western governments and educational institutions. As to Tarek's contention that it is the committed Ultra Right who are unwittingly responsible for Islamist infiltration of Western governments and educational institutions because of their being manipulated by the Islamists, I can only respond, that his claim is pure, 100%, Saudi camel dung. Scarborough shooting kills two, injures 19, including an infant

After the smoke has cleared away and the shots have been traced we will soon be confronted with the overwhelming evidence that none of the shots fired came from 'legally' registered firearms, neither hand guns nor long guns, unless in the rare instance where those legally registered firearms have been stolen by criminals. The killers will not be those that the sordid Left usually refers to as "gun nuts" a.k.a., hunters, target shooters and collectors who have legally registered guns. Rabbi Boteach (attempts) to school Michael Coren

I watched the Coren/Boteach interview on Sun News Network in its entirety as well as the follow up of the interview on SNN the next day. It is clear to me that our good Rabbi was spoiling for a fight from the outset and was looking for the first comment from Coren he could find to twist to his advantage and Coren soon provided him with one by citing the Jewish influence in Hollywood as an example of Left-wing Jews promulgating negative stereotypes about Christians as ignorant country bumpkins and anti-Semites. Boteach, without taking a breath, quickly twisted Coren’s example into Coren implying that the Jews controlled Hollywood as well as media, banks etc., none of which Coren said or even implied. The interview quickly degenerated into a shouting match from there. Clearly Boteach knew very little if anything about Coren’s background either personally or professionally. Coren himself is half Jewish on his father’s side going back several generations and he has always proudly talked about his Jewish inheritance. Coren never converted to Roman Catholicism until 1985. Professionally Coren has been a stout and consistent defender of Israel and the Jewish community in both Israel and Canada. Salim Mansur writes: Empty church discloses a harsh reality

Let me state from the outset that I am a great admirer of Salim Mansur and what he stands for in the Muslim community. He is a moderate if not secular Muslim, who along with his friend Tarek Fatah and other moderates of their ilk, struggles against the pervasive and toxic effect of the Islamists (Islamo-Fascists) on the Muslim community. It is therefore with some trepidation and misgiving that I feel myself obligated to qualify if not take issue with some aspects of Professor Mansur's article above. Mr. Mansur writes" There is among Muslims no public discussion about Jesus; nor do Muslims display reverence or understanding about Jesus and his place in history, yet they readily indulge in anti-Christian polemics. As a result, Muslims have emptied Islam of that aspect of humanity nearest and dearest to God symbolized by Jesus in the Qur’an." It is true that Jesus, or Isa as He is referred to in the Qur'an, at one time was a respected part of the Qur'ranic tradition; but, with a major caveat., in that Jesus is only regarded as a prophet by Muslims, secondary to Mohammed who Muslims regard as the final and greatest prophet.. The Qur'an claims furthermore the Jesus never died on the cross and therefore was never resurrected. Muslims deny, by implication at least, that Jesus was ever the intended Christ, ever the Savior, ever the Lamb of God and that there was no 'Death', no 'Resurrection" and therefore no 'Divinity' ; thus, in effect, belying the central tenets of the faith of Christianity. I must therefore qualify Mr. Mansur 's wish that modern Muslims pay more respect to Jesus, with my contention that even in the best case scenario where Muslims might show some respect to Jesus, that they still get it grossly wrong. Only a Muslim or other non-Christian, like Mr. Mansur, even with the best of intentions, who implicitly denies the divinity of Jesus by referring to Him as simply Jesus, demeans Christianity. Tarek Fatah writes of "Brothers’ of the Muslim Brotherhood"

This advent of the Muslim Brotherhood assuming control of l Egypt, even democratically ,is of course a completely predictable result. The fascism which is endemic to the Muslim Brotherhood is hardly unique to the Brotherhood in the Islamic world but is merely an extension of the ideological component of the religion (so-called) of Islam, which is itself totalitarian in its makeup. Since Islam's inception, Islamic societies have attempted to establish theocratic dictatoships throughout Arab lands and the lands they had conquered. They established their tyranncal societies via the auspices of Sharia Law, or by making Sharia Law the primary law of the land. For those of you who still do not get it, Sharia Law, is, according to Muslim belief, Allah's law, NOT manmade law which is the law of the secular/democratic West. When Sharia Law is implemented, which the Muslim Brotherhood intends to do, then by definition the rights of Muslim men and boys become supreme according to the dictates of that law, Muslim women and girls become chattel to be used at the discretion of men, and all religious, ethnic and racial minorities become second-class and oppressed citizens subordinate to the dominant and supremacist Muslim culture. Any honest evaluation of the Sharia based society understands that it can never be and/or remain democratic, as we in the West understand democracy. For the secular/democractic Westerner, democratic societies are based on a generalized equality among ALL peoples. This equality does not exist in Egypt (nor any Muslim majority nation) and will never exist in Egypt as long the Muslim Brotherhood, or indeed any form of Islamist government, reigns supreme. Malkin takes Juan Williams to school on “real journalism”

It was NRP (National Public Radio) who Williams worked for and who threw him under the bus when he dared to mention on the Bill O'Reilly show on Fox Cable News, that overtly dressed Muslims, ie. women wearing burqas or nigabs and bearded men wearing pajamas, who were sitting on the same plane as him, made him feel nervous. That was it, that is all he said, but it was enough for an NRP official to deem him crazy and arrange for his firing. Apparently freedom of speech in America does not include the right to express ones concerns about Muslims even if those feelings were heartfelt and genuine. He did not attack all Muslims he was merely expressing an honest emotion. On the otherhand, people should never forget that although Fox hired Williams on the spot after his shameful firing by NRP, they hired Williams as a 'liberal' commentator. He was hired to be controversial and dispute the claims of his conservative colleagues when he disagreed with them so one should not be surprised if they find Williams merely doing the job that he was hired to do I believe this little set to between Michelle Malkin and Juan Williams (who incidentally both respect one another behind the scenes) is being overblown. It was said in the heat of the moment and both will get over it quickly enough and move on. Both Malkin and Williams are very thick skinned as you have to be in their business and have had much worse criticism applied to both of them. Juan Williams is a very decent man with a lot of courage and professional integrity and conservatives would we well served to remember that about Juan whenever he says something they take issue with. There is much of value to say about Tarek Fatah but one should always take him with a grain of salt. Egypt’s ‘Arab Spring’ doesn’t end as scripted as power struggle remains

Charles Krauthammer calls Obama's latest immigration policy to be "out and out lawlessness."

The trouble for Obama, even among those who still like him is that he now has an economic record which is deplorable and thus he can no longer run on "Hope and Change" because the last three and a half years have demonstrated that there is no hope and the only change has been for the worst. Glen Beck TV, overreacting to the recent blowout between Michelle Malkin and Juan William during a debate on Fox New's "Hannity"

It was NRP (National Public Radio) who Williams worked for and who threw him under the bus when he dared to mention on the Bill O'Reilly show on Fox Cable News, that overtly dressed Muslims, ie. women wearing burqas or nigabs and bearded men wearing pajamas, who were sitting on the same plane as him, made him feel nervous. That was it, that is all he said, but it was enough for an NRP official to deem him crazy and arrange for his firing. Apparently freedom of speech in America does not include the right to express ones concerns about Muslims even if those feelings were heat felt and genuine. He did not attack all Muslims he was merely expressing an honest emotion. On the otherhand, people should never forget that although Fox hired Williams on the spot after his shameful firing by NRP, they hired Williams as a 'liberal' commentator. He was hired to be controversial and dispute the claims of his conservative colleagues when he disagreed with them so one should not be surprised if they find Williams merely doing the job that he was hired to do I believe this little set to between Michelle Malkin and Juan Williams (who incidentally both respect one another behind the scenes) is being overblown. It was said in the heat of the moment and both will get over it quickly enough and move on. Both Malkin and Williams are very thick skinned as you have to be in their business and have had much worse criticism applied to both of them. Juan Williams is a very decent man with a lot of courage and professional integrity and conservatives would we well served to remember that about Juan whenever he says something they take issue with. Juan Williams is the least of our troubles from the 'liberal' camp. Rex Murphy on Canada's New Two Party System

Although I never have been a Liberal supporter, indeed even the thought of such an action sticks in my craw, I cannot resist the impulse of sadness even a chilling foreboding at the collapse and near demise of the Liberal party. Mr. Murphy's articulate analysis has much more in common with that of a paleontologist sifting through the fossilized bones of a long extinct species than a topical commentary on a political party still in the running. The ascendancy of the NDP, relative to the Liberals at least, speaks threateningly of a vacuous, entitlement culture on the rise not only in Canada, but throughout the Western world. Whether we are talking about the student anarchists in Quebec protesting the lowest tuition fees in the country, the hockey night rioters and vandals in Vancouver who have lost all sense of propriety and respect for the fine society their forbears had created, the untutored and malodorous "Occupy" movement who stand like a non-contributing gaping maw of insatiable demands and zero ideas etc., they are all of like mind, or should I say, no mind. Certainly, it is this panhandler/anarchist/criminal culture which are the primary constituency of the NDP. Mulcair, like the mindless, grasping zombies he represents, feels no need to make sense only to continue to find ways to constantly keep his permanent scowl in your face and in the news. This is what the new "two-party system" in Canada has been reduced to.
